How to Configure FTP Account


FTP account is a smart way to give access to which you don’t want to give access to the cPanel for file uploading. You can use FTP account to exchange files between computer accounts. In this article you will get to know all the information regarding the FTP account creation. 

Follow the step below to create FTP account: 

Step-1:

Open your cPanel by using below URL and put the cPanel credentials provided by your hosting provider.

https://Yourdomainname:2083

Step-2:

Go to Files section and open FTP Accounts.
 
Step-3:

Now, Enter the requested information:

1. Login: Enter an FTP username
2. Password: enter a strong password or click Generate Password to have a random password generated
3. Password (Again): Re-enter the password
4. Directory: Type Directory of your Choice but usually it should be Public_html.
5. Quota: Enter quota for the FTP user or leave unlimited if you want to assign unlimited quota.


Step-4:

Click Create FTP Account button to create the account.
